same as an actuator really. just far more stable for higher boost. doesnt spike then drop off etc as daft as actuator ones can do.

often get quite a nice noise from external wastegates. which is the only reason i have one. well no, actually the turbo isnt an internally gate'd turbo, which is the real reason i have one. honest.

its normally in the garage, its just at a mates unit now as he has more tools and a lift etc that ive been borrowing and using. im too old for the lying on my back on the drive in the rain these days.

plus it would be an absolute mission re-making all the brake lines on the car front to back using axle stands and having the car a couple of foot off the ground. was easy as hell using the lift.

Good Stuff Nic... Long time no speak/see

You still up for a race at crail? I havent done a 1/4mile for about 2years now Wager a dodgy crail burger on it

You work at a place that does powerflow systems? I'm looking for a cheap-as-chips but powerful 3" turbo back system for a Impreza. How much

cant do 3" im afraid. 2.5 is max we do. plus if i was you id go for something decent for the impreza.

i dont really believe it would be a good race what with you having 4wd and all that lol id have to catch up all the way down the strip.
