reasonable day weather wise in the cumbrian hill side. me and oldskool team muppetsport spanner magician slick went to work on corsa. took slicks car for a change as it just flew through its mot.

prelude 2.2 vtec jap import bb4 model which we turbo'd a while back. what a giggle. suprising how fast it picks up speed considering the weight of the thing. reminds me how much ive missed whoosh valve noises......

anyway, get to rolling road to find a cheese wedge shape tvr there.

supercharged v8 with gas. johnathan from the rolling road has it in to fit a dta to and then map. cool car indeed.

so on to the corsa

boost pipe ready to weld onto the inlet plenum then weld the flange for the dump valve like so.

wastegate fitted to manifold

flage for screamer pipe fits delightfully onto the bit of powerflow. screamer pipe getting made when modifiying exhaust.

checking radiator clearances from wastegate. ended up moving it slightly further forwards later on.

shows 2 out of the 4 trumpets that will be inside the plenum. just getting the last 2 spacers made up for it then its ready to go together. well, then jdm is going to make a throttle linkage for it.

fitted green air filter. thats an important picture, as it shows that it matches the colour of the rocker cover. its all about attention to detail if you want a magazine feature ive been told.

used some p clips to attach water feed to lower panel.

roughly checked fitment of fan and oil cooler back on the front. seems like it will work well.

attached water feed hose to radiator and also red water hose as it looks pretty.

took alarm box off from the inner wing to be relocated elsewhere as thats where the header tank will sit.

then for soome reason the youth adam wanted to blow a plant pot up with some thermite and some magnezium. weid he is.

and thats what we done today.

warms the place up well anyway. also has a 3" stainless exhaust system vented to atmosphere. im just waiting on him using a fuel pump as an oil injection set up to keep the fire going, while using a dta and a wideband lambda for optimum oil to wood burning mixture. it wouldnt suprise me at all.

beastly k plus n on the vectra. sounds alright and as yet no ecu light on so happy days currently. next plans for vectra are to get the radiator cover thing and a new battery bag i think. then paint some plenums and fix the egr pipe.

well i need a good vacuum basically, so have to take vacuum off all 4 cylinders. inlet is drilled and tapped and fitted with vacuum take offs. then going to run them 4 into a distribution block like so. then take 2 off for vacuums needed for engine to be split into to, then another bigger one for the brake servo pipe. basically, 4 in, 2 small out and one large out. if that doesnt work so well to give a steady vacuum, will fit a filter inline aswell to smooth it out. will see what map sensor reads like first.

yeah that block is one in and several out. theyre on american ebay, search for vacuum block. about $55 dollars plus shipping. which seems to be another $50. hence the homebrew version.

few months maybe. id suggest you might win. i have a feeling this turbo will take a lot of getting used to. so sadly not. plus your nova is too cool.

finding a clean nova is a bit of a mission. that corsa is fair clean shell. also the manifold and turbo etc will be far more of a struggle in a nova. its close enough in that and corsa's have more space at the font.

not much of an update this weekend really. but anyway....

cut the mounts off the header tank

cut the bottom pipe off

as it needs to come out there like so roughly kinda.

which will make it sit like that which is better for everything really.

mocked up some brakets for the rad and attempted to begin same for oil cooler but ran out of metal so gave up.

delightful amount of vacuum hoses to go to things. 4 of them are off the inlet, 1 per cylinder. other ones are for map sensor etc.

yep thats the start of a homemade mini jet engined mini moto. its using a gt28rs turbo............he is mad that johnathan. mad.
