Right update -

Going to pick the car up tomorrow.

BUT it wont have an MOT as there is a few things I need to sort.

ABS problem - See HZ thread, need a new outer cv joint from an mk3 astra gsi.

Im going to get car back and sort it as its not gonna be hard to get one and at least then ill have the car back on the drive again

The ECU problem is fixed and everything else is fine, gear linkage which was sticking into first etc has been modified and is now working as it should.

Engine is running fine and car performs well, just got the abs problem to sort.

Right got the car back on saturday.

Everything went fine, got the car back in one piece only problems was the car was far too low at the front so exhasut was catching now and again but ive higherd it now...

There is a number of things I need to sort out which im hoping will nto be too hard.

1. Fix ABS problem - Need a new abs ring on one side
2. Make car legal by getting and MOT sorted
3. Fix exhaust - A bracket on the back box has snapped so it is a bit wonkey / loose, proberly due to me hitting a bump.
4. Get speedo to work, need a transducer and some wiring as my clocks are electirc, think I may also need an F20 speedo ring...
5. Replace a cv boot as I have found a very small spilt.

Then I am going to ensure its running properly by taking it to a rolling road have to wait till its road legal though first obviously

Anyway a couple of piks from the trip home yesterday...

Drive home was great apart from it being very wet at some parts

If I get the gsi bumper I will hide it as best as I can I think.

Glad ive got 6 speed though as it comes on boost quite easily in 5th at motorway speeds.
