I kept saying that about my XE, except everytime I got it working I decided to keep it, if he's after trouble free motoring a LET'd corsa isn't it

Can i ask what you bought for the conversion and what beardy supplyed? Seems like extorsion if you were charged £4-£4.5k for just the engine conversion and you supplyed the engine and other parts as well.

Nah paid about 4.5k in total

Car was 1300
Engine about 1500
Conversion 1500
Then coilovers, wheels, tyres

All I need to do is get the braking problem done and then an MOT and im sorted.

Had a quick look today and the abs ring that was fitted to the side which was missing is deffinitly not on properly, so either its a different size or it just wasnt put on properly I dont know.

I need to get 2 new outer cv's complete with abs rings that will fit my shafts but still unsure which ones to get so I will proberly go and count the splines on the shafts when I get chance and I also need 2 new inner cv's as they both have tiny splits in which is causing greese to splatter everywhere which im not happy about

Shouldn't be to bad when you have done them jobs, I replaced all my CV boots a few months after my XE went in as mine had tiny splits in.

What shafts are you running? If its GSi shafts then won't it be standard Corsa CV's?

Benefit of using Corsa shafts is the simplicity of getting boots, cv's etc !

To clear a few things up before people get the wrong idea/side of things.
I am more than happy to post up jays bill if needed but to make it simple.

Jay paid me just over 1000 for Labour to do the full conversion, to make a full TIG welded 316 Stainless exhaust system with Stainless boost pipes and supply samco joining hoses to match. Also to fit all his gauges and fit and setup coilovers (after the LET had been fitted).

Jay sorced his own engine and conversion parts. when i did the conversion i found alot of parts missing, aswell as supply missing senders and parts for the gauges. he also wanted me to supply a dump valve kit and 2lt 16v brakes with new disc and pads, which totaled 500

this got jay to 1500 in total.

When jay came to me he said he only had 3000 to do the complete conversion, he told me he had spent 1500 on the engine box etc so he had 1500 left.

Jay asked me weather i could get him a MOT on the car which non of my MOT people would do at the time (as the car would not of passed for a number of reasons, emmisions etc) SO i told this to jay and said everything on the car is done which he had ask BUT some little work is needed for the MOT. Which he was happy to sort out and MOT the car once home.

I would of happly done the work needed for a MOT but as far as i knew jay had no extra money and did not want to go over the money limit he had put aside.

So the car left for him to do the MOT work.

I could have told you that, but if you look back a few pages it shows them being made

Beardy did a great job and id reccomend him to anyone.

I think im going to get those shafts above and if that doesnt solve the abs problem then im just gonnna scrap the whole car and bike it everywhere
