Put the battery on the car today (corsa b), tried turning it over, battery didnt have much life in it could do with a charge, havent had a battery on it in a few weeks, the thing which is confusing me is that there was a constant wierd buzzing noise coming from were the fuse box and ecu are, i dont know if it was the ecu resetting itself, i wasnt sure so i disconnected the battery.
If anyone could help it would be appreciated, thanks.

might be fuel pump relay clicking quickly.. or some strange way of the ecu powering up...
try reconnecting the battery when fully charged and see what it does

it hasnt been started in a few weeks so it could be the fuel pump working overtime because the pump and lines will be dry

put the battery on it.. see what it does if there is smoke... then take the battery off again
