Thought a new thread might be better for any questions, it's an easier way to share knowledge

Can someone answer (or link to) a guide for some of the basics? Just stuff like

Sim contacts copier
How to install themes (And summerboard?? Whatever that is)
Good place to get apps/themes from

Just kind of the basics, had a look at the guides on modmyifone & was totally blinded my science

To copy sim contacts accross:

Open installer
Click install at the bottom
Look for iFon International
Open that up and there is an application called SIMport
Download and install it and its easy from there

If you can't find iFon international you may need to add the source which is install.ifon.no

Thats what I did anyway and it worked a treat

everything was pretty straight forward with mine

only slightly tricky thing was getting like NES, SNES, GENESIS and Playstation 1 Emulator on it and then copying the games across (requires you to SSH into your phone and copy the stuff).

App installer on your phone (if you used ziphone) will allow you to download apps and install them direct to your phone easily when connected through wifi...

If you used ziphone it should have open SSH - so you can wirelessly log into your phone (like you do with wireless routers)...

Download WinScp - use your phone's IP (given to it on the wireless network (so check under wifi on phone for ip)) - and the password 'alpine' login name 'root' - also set the timeout time to 45 secs...

then it'll log you into the phone and give you a ftp interface - like you can browse the directories / files in the phone and copy all sorts across... like music, images, apps, games (roms etc)...

just look online loads of tutorials - youtube is full of them.

Just type into youtube what you want to do!

so for instance 'NES on iphone'.

Right I'll give it a bosh

And once your "in" your phone, do you just drop the files into folders?

I've downloaded a few themes off the installer & they're nowhere to be seen. Keep seeing the word summerboard everywhere but cant find where to get iot from?

bargain haha about 10 of us must have them now?

p.s. for the dude who was asking for examples of camera phone the other day, I took these today just to test it out on my uni campus...

yes that is my finger on the lens in the last one... seems to just lack a bit of focus / sharpness (obviously corsasport auto resizes the pics so they're small)

yea, download 1.1.4 firmware, do a restore in iTunes (v7.6). Download iLiberty+, select some options, press Go, in a few minutes you'll have a fresh unlocked iPhone. Piece of piss
*Note - any problems with restoring the firmware, change usb port, reinstall iTunes or try a different system. Mine system didn't like iTunes but built another XP system and didn't have any problems!

just bought another one, last one in Bedford (Carphone aren't getting any more in, and O2 might be in certain places), goes on ebay as soon as
