Go on the website. They have videos demonstrating how to use it. I had a go today and it was quite easy. Not AS fast as button texting but wasn't much slower.

Thing is, it's smaller and 'cooler' looking than a PDA, yet just as capable. It's thin, just quite large as it has a big screen, i'm used to fairly big phones and have big hands so no probs.

The texting uses a qwerty keyboard on screen. It'll probably be similar / quicker when you're used to it... think back to when you first got predictive text and how useless / slow it was... it's just getting used to using the touch screen.

Main benefits of the iphone is just what sorta cool apps you can use and run. It's essentially a PC 600 mhz - so anything could run on a pc under linux you can expect to be able to run on the iphone pretty much, hence emulators for snes / mega drive games etc etc.

Them pics look surprisingly good Paul, the camera is a bit crap but tbh I had the K850i before this and never used the camera.

Texting is taking some getting used to for me, I must have sausage fingers or something

I like the texting cause I was in a real bad habit of texting whilst driving. I've had to stop now cause you just can't do it without looking at the screen so might have saved me 3 points and £60 fine down the line.

But the texting is great I think, the predictive text is

what's everybody installed then? Got my contacts copied with simport, worked a treat!

Are the themes worth messing around with? Quite happy with how it looks as standard.

Very impressed with the predictive text, even typing with two hands!

So, I can go into the local CPW, hand over £100 and whatever quid, get a iPhone, download the software needed for free, install it all and just slot my current O2 card in without being tied to a new 18month contratc?

Just seen on their website they are out of 8GB ones, checked back there 30 mins later and they are now out of 16GB ones aswell!
Looking at the prices on eBay I'm not surprised they have sold out of 8GB ones!

FAIL - waited in local CPW, sold out and are -31 in stock for mail orders.
They said that a CPW store 55 miles away was showing one in stock, I couldn't be arsed going there at 5.20pm though!

Oh well

apparently O2 are getting more stock in, so might be worth popping into a few stores, and after pretending to be really interested, see if there getting more in
Just remember, it's one per customer (apparently) and you have to pay by card (at O2 i did).

I'm working tomorrow, friday, saturday night and maybe sunday night - I might ring the Ipswich store tomorrow though.

Can they not be ordered via the o2 website?

Anyone done the mod yet to let you use any song as a ringtone?

Also, an option to save images whilst using safari would be brilliant

Summer board is dead easy, so its worth doing. I wouldn't mind a step by step for the emulator either
