this might be a stupid question but when you change the rear springs to coilovers do you remove the rubber plate that sits at the top of the old springs cheers

depends which coilovers you have.

do you have a coilover unit (same as the front but with different mountings) or a spring and seperate damper?

if you have the latter then you just install the spring with the rubber pads there, as if you were fitting any other spring.

if you have a proper coilover unit then it shouldnt really matter because there wont be a spring to sit there

ah i see what you have now, you have the threaded adjuster that the spring cups over.

tbh mate the adjuster will make it start off higher, and the adjustment will only take it slightly lower than standard.

the fk's i had a while ago used one of these. i left it out because it made it higher.

was wound down so that 2/3 of the threads on the coilover were showing. had to remove the plastic arch liners though.
