Yeah, I feel for whoever they bring in next, as will have the same problem of being given no time. I mean did they honestly expect him to turn it around straight away...saying that Im sure Sven @ City hasnt helped

I hope its Shearer next, as although they will allow him slightly more time, the fact he still probably do fuck all in 2 seasons should see the Toon turn on him which will be fun to watch

i know sven wont have helped, but unfortunately, sven and sam are in a different class, and the wages they are/were both being paid probably highlights it

TBF though he wasnt Mike Ashleys choice, so maybe he just feels the need to pick someone of his own and allow him to spend away his millions.

Im betting they go for a foreign coach next...Houllier is my bet with Shearer on his staff.

I also dont think mike ashley agreed with the style of play

and if that was the reason for the sacking its a fair one imo

Newcastle have seen 10 managers come and go in the time that Ferguson has been at Old Trafford.

I was surprised when I read that he'd gone but it has been coming. As said he wasn't Mike Ashley's choice for manager and some of his tactical decisions have been shocking this season. Let's play my leading scorer out on the wing and a midfielder up front, I won't bother playing my £6m left back I'll stick a midfielder there instead.

Really don't want to see Shearer come in as manager as I don't think he's ready but would be good to see him there in some capacity.

Regarding our 'divine right' to win things. I don't personally think this but with the money we've spent and some of the players we've got we should at least be challenging for things.

Stupid decision imo, fair dos he hasn't signed the best players but that team needs time to gel.

Also the big name players need to stand up and be counted, none of them are performing to the levels they should be, viduka is the only exception i think.

Jol for the new boss

Viduka's been pretty average recently.
Butt and N'Zogbia have been our best players all season

I mention flair as there is a thing on BBC website about the fans and Ashley wanting a flair style of play

But that was never Allardyces style but then he wasnt Ashleys appt

Exactly IMO he should never have left Bolton tbph.

Just been down to betting shop and latest odds are:
-Redknapp 4/5
-Shearer 9/1
-Jol 11/2
-Hughes 8/1
-Mourinho 9/1
-McClown 10/1

Apparently Shearer isn't interested in the job, so not sure he'd be interested in a staff position either? And Redknapp seems happy at Portsmouth so not sure he'd take it if offered.

Interesting choice of Houllier there Cosmopolitan. Couldn't get any odds for him though when I was in the bookies

Redknapp is still 4/9 with ladbrokes, if i could get 4/9 on betfair id lay 180 on it (would only lose 80 and i think there isnt a chance he'll go)

Already layed 16 on him,

Houlloer 31/1 on betfair
