Whats the best oil for a national hot rod spec xe, as someone told me to use a 20w50 as the 10w40 and 10w60 are too thin for a high spec and high reving xe, please help

What do you call hot rod spec? High power/high CR I assume?

high compression, forged pistons,wasted stem valves, steel rods, solid lifters, bronze guides,double valve springs, qed 450 cams. mbe mappable ignition, carbs etc,

Millers 20w50
check out the millers oil website for competition oils. That what the rally boys use in their XEs and some of them are running 260bhp.

if this person said that 10W60 is too thin and 20W50 is thicker then they dont really understand the numbers, 10W60 is thicker than 20W50
Id give guy a ring at opie oils and he will be glad to help, what he doesnt know about oils isnt worth knowing
