Clean the whole thing with a steam cleaner ?
Need it clean.

If by 'stripped' you mean totally in bits, yep, it's only the electrics which are the issue, just make sure any degreasers are washed away after it's cleaned, or it'll ruin the oil.

and you might want to dry the bores with something to stop them rusting if it's sitting.

get some clean oil on a clean rag and rub the bores GENTLY.

nah just steamed.

put some white spirit to loosen gunk from sump/sump gasket, then steam it.

just dont breath in too much....
