xbox has had it, its past its sell by date and should retire the way of the mega drive, although without the cult status. there is talk of being able to make the ps3 run as a pc, thus playing pc games. making the xbox useless altogether.

your talking about being able to run linux on the ps3.
not sure why you'd want to run it as a pc 99% of pc games you can get for consoles anyway.
plus i really wouldnt want to surf the net and shit like that. thats just for greeks.
if ms wanted to make the soapbox run like a pc they could do it a piece of piss, it already uses directx which is what pc's use and the hardware is more like a pc than a ps3 anyway.
but its rather a pointless argument, the ps3 would gain no advantage if someone made a pc emulator or something.

i have a 360 and 2 of my mates have both the 360 and ps3.
imo its no longer about the consoles but the games that are coming out for them. both consoles are roughly equal performance wise and are both very capable consoles.
if i was looking at buying a console now i would have a long look into its current and future game releases.
right now the 360 does have alot more games out for it with some cracking titles and blu ray is a very expensive format to release games and movies on but the ps3 will still get alot of high quality games out for it in the future as will the 360.

Got a PS3 today, can't say theres much a difference with the 360. But for one its hell of a lot quieter!
It's a shame the Transformers film isn't coming out on Blu-Ray though

I got a PS3 and there is plenty of good games out at the moment and some good ones in the pipeline. Bluray films are quite impressive, although you can upscale DVDs an PS2 games to HD as well. I played on the demo of GT5 Prologue and so far so good.

i have no idea of the technicalities with either HD or blu ray.
But if the shops are anything to go by on whats selling id say blu ray is outselling hd-dvd about 10-1
There simply have massive selections of blue ray and a small end cap for hd dvd in prety much every entertainment shop ive been in.

From what I had read I want to play fifa online 
Its just near £300 with postage for 80gb, have tryed to get the ps2 online and that was a mission in its self so do hope ps3 will be a more simple process.
There is something about the 360 is dislike Fat Americans maybe..
Does seem to be a good console as many people I know have got one but just something about it I dont like.

yet 360 isnt the best. its the vtec of console world. over rated, and the owners have blinker vision and wont accept anything else is even slightly better.
