Is it possible to transfer tax from one car to another? one of the cars is being SORN'ed to today and need tax on the other?

think you have to get a cash refund the tax off one car for the remaining full months, then tax the other car as normal. Its not a matter of swapping over.

not sure i've never done it, think its instant just take it in and they give you back the remaining full months money. think thats the way it works, you prob have to go into the tax office to tax the other car so they'll be able to tell you more then.

i taxed the 405 which was £99 for 6 months, and i need tax on the corsa which is about £60, 4 months tax left....shoud be ok ye.

i think you have to send off the disc with a form you can get from the post office or download. I don't think the post office will give you the refund.
Then you'll just need to tax the other car like you would any other time.
I have done this before, but it was about 3 years ago
