ive seen people bitch on in one thread that the ps3 is better because it has blu-ray wireless whatever, and then post in other threads about how cool the snes is....
at the end of the day its to play games on, as far as games are concerned the xbox wins it.
the blu-ray in ps3 will probably be shit compared to a standalone player anyway

What you said was it used 1 core, not that it used all 3 but not to full potential.
They are 2 totally different things imo.

PS3 = better tech and blu ray.
Better tech = more innovation in games, better graphics etc
Blu-Ray = more content, more content on a disc means you can have higher res textures. Higher res = better graphics.
360 tech = easy to dev for. Good at the moment, but has no depth to it, meaning its old tech and that the best of it will be not far off.
Its hard to say out of the 3 who will win.
But its obvious that PS3 is the better console in its tech, reliability, and games coming out end of this year and start of next.
Seriously.
Name some games for 360 that come out next year that arent on PC or PS3 or Wii.
I can only name FABLE 2.
PS3 = MGS4, White Knight Story, Killzone 2, GT5, Final Fantasy, Afrika, and there are dozens more which i cant be arsed to name.

i worded it wrong thats all, its not possible to make the cpu ONLY use one core, what i meant, and meant all along, is that the total processing power equated to about one core, meaning there is a lot of room to expand with the 360 still

I'm not arguing about which is the better etc but using 3 cores at less than full capacity does not equal using 1 core.

SINGLE CORE PROCESSORS!
And how do you know exactly how much power it uses ?
It could use 1 whole core, then little bits of the other cores!
In the end it uses 3 cores. END OF STORY.

Mate i noticed how you listed games that are out...
Now...
Bioshock, GOW, Halo 3 (eventually) are on PC....
Now list NEXT years 360 games....
Exactly, barely any.
And lets face the facts. The 360 had a head start, if they came out at the same time, PS3 would have the better games.
At least when i boot up my PS3 i dont have a fear that the world is gonna end like everytime i boot up my 360.
EDIT: I notice how you are now throwing around your title of PC TECHNICIAN!
That does not mean anything, as you can learn everything a technician knows, straight off the internet.

360 exclusive games.
It goes to prove that PS3 has the year of 2008.
And that proves that 360 hardware isnt as good because the devs cant make anything special for the thing.

But the reliability is a LOT to a customer.
Also it does have superior tech. And it doesnt break as easy. And a lot of people who are buying Blu-Ray players, go for a PS3 because of the fact it is a BD player.

i agree the 360 has had reliability probs, it wont be so much of an issue with the elite.
and with a 3 year warranty it really doesnt matter all that much as every console on the planet will be fixed for free

linch is funny.
the ps3 could take years for the developers to figure out how to use it, then another couple of years to make high profile titles worth buying, by then, xbox 720 and the ps3 will be left behind..

To the topic creator.
No you didnt do wrong, both 360 and PS3 are great consoles. Stick with the PS3 i promise it will be worth it.
Now...
PS3 has better tech.
PS3 has better reliability.
PS3 has the better format (Blu-Ray).
PS3 has a better line up of games for the end of 2007, and all of 2008.
Now 360 has better games at the moment.
Its slightly cheaper if you dont get any of the add ons.
Xbox Live is better at the moment, even if you have to pay for it.
Xbox also breaks easily.
Now, we all know the Wii isnt really a console.
So its basiclly PS3 vs 360.
PS3 wins in the long run.
360 is better to buy today.
But in November PS3 is the better buy.
End of it.
This thread turned into a 360>PS3 thread as soon as you entered Steve.
You didnt give any points that are positive about PS3, and you constantly went back on your word.
Now, Topic Creator... Enjoy your PS3. I recommend Warhawk, Resistance and Motorstorm, and Heavenly Sword at this moment in time.
