just a quick questions folks... my car doesn't have central locking at the moment, but i'd like to add it...

i'd also like to have remote central locking!

but to do so do i have to install central locking, THEN remote central locking?

or are there remote central locking kits that convert you're car straight away to having central locking and using the key fob??

As far as im aware, the car needs central locking in the 1st instance for these Remote locking kits to work.

Dont you also need a central locking ecu if you use the vauxhal central locking?

It may be worth getting an alarm, which does the whole lot. Make sure you get a Thatcham Cat 1 though, otherwise it isn't worth spending the money.

you can get remote central locking kits with the solenoids and wiring on ebay

i got mine for £40 from motorworld
