just went to fit my powercap to my 20xe for ther first time and it wont go on.its hitting the bulk head and wont go back far enough.do you think its because of the way my engine is mounted or becaus ethe power cap is shite??

Same on all XE Corsa's the bulkhead has to be modified and cut up.

Personally they're over rated, see if you can fit an SFI box from an origional XE engine instead mate.

The SFI box may have to be chopped down to fit propperly aswell.

SFI box is a twat to fit.

Chop the bulkhead is the best way to do it.

do all corsa's have to be choped for the powercap to fit?i thought they went straight on?

Nope. The SFI box is huge compared to a powercap.

Bulkhead needs to be chopped for either as it bends to the front of the car at the top.

Measure where needs chopping, cut it out and then paint the edges and put some edging trim on. Looks like new.

yeh thats where its hitting.i just cut some of the sound deadening out to have a look.cheers for your help lads.its just pissed me off a bit as i was expecting it to go straight on but oh well cheers anyway.

yes needs cut. them other xev pipe things you can get dont need cut bulkhead, they go right on

my ecotec adaptor i had to cut the bulkhead back still not alot but i still had to

yeah it wasnt alot its just wouldnt quite get over the bolts from the throttle body to sit on so i had to chop it a bit just made life easier

using shorter bolts would have made life easier

my eco tec adaptor plate went straight on it just looked ugly so i got a power cap for £30 then sold my eco tec adaptor plate.ive gave the bulk head a good bashing and its nearly on but i cant be bothered to do any more today.
