And that hole by the the TB (on the plastic piping) goes to the rocker I assume?

leave it where it is, all it does is tell the engine if it needs to be on start up mode, it'll do that anywhere in the bay, inlet pipe or not.

start up mode

I thought it measured the air temp, hence the naming for it, then told the ECU how warm/cold the air going into the engine is and adjusts the fuel/air mixture, no?

It wouldn't anyway, if the air in the inlet is cold, the air in the engine bay is cold, so it'd pick that up and make it start in the cold, then when it was warm, the air in the inlet, and bay would be warm, so it would stop doing the cold start thing.

Whereever you have it in the bay, it'll work just fine. Mine was outside the inlet tube for a while as the tube got damaged and the hole for the sensor was massive, I just left it outside the tube and taped the tube up, ut was fine

but yes, i bet it would work well. you get similar gains to a dblias or mantzel with a lemaul running the standard induction pipe, so using a sock filter on the end of the TB instead of the standard pipe must make it even better in theory
