i have a w reg corsa, and it started cutting out unless you keep your foot on the gas, the mechanic said there was 2 safety pins in the engine, which he removed it has since started cutting out, he said there should be some sort of box that stops it cutting out which should have been there instead of the pins, ive never heard of this any one know? thanxs

Sounds more like the Idle Control Valve or something like that has gone.
Strictly speaking this should be in Help Zone

doesnt sound the most compentent from your description

when i baught the mechanic put a new mass air flow sensor and egr valve a track rod end and set of springs, it was running a bit loud and my dads firend who noes bit bout cars had a look and said there were 2 safety pins holding up the throttle i think so he took them off now it cuts out unless i put gas on and the auto elctrician i called out today said it needs a new mass air flow sensor bit i dont think it does because first mechanic put a new one on? thanxs
