Does anyone have a picture of there engine bay and or can describe were the air flow meter is on a 1.4 16v. Don't know what it looks like to be honest after reading a few topics I think it needs replacing.

All of a sudden while driving I lose power and can't accelerate properly, I put my foot down to the floor on both clutch and accelarator, redline it and its fine for another 10 minutes. It struggles starting as well, need to keep my foot down while in neutral, really intermittant. Got a new fuel filter so going to change that but doubt it'll do any difference.

1.4 16v engine doesnt have one (assuming you mean x14xe, corsa b?)
has a MAP sensor instead, which is mounted on the bulkhead near the coolant tank

Yeah it's a x14xe so must be that. Take it MAP stands for Mass Air Pressure?

Think I might know where it is. Anyone clarify or confirm? Thanks guys

I've got a Protech Manifold so I bet that cock's things up.

So does the green plug need replacing or is the sensor somewere else?

green plug plugs onto the map sensor. its 9/10 that the pipe from the sensor to the manifold has split/come off.

Thanks Dave, I remember seeing that pipe, covered in some kind of insallation foil. Don't know the exact material I have to say.

If the pipe is split do you think this could be why I'm having the problems I've mentioned?

Thanks again!!!

Cheers m8. I'll have a look at that tonight.

Was really weird, had a pipe *mispalced* out of the fuel pressure regulator so put that abck and was running fine for the first time in ages on Saturday.

Now it seems to be happening again but worse and isnt the FPR vacuum pipe from the inlet manifold. So hope it's this!
