hiya i but an airfilter in but there is a good smell of petrol and also this means it must be harder on petrol. Also what about the wee red wire overt he air flow meter? what happens it? is it important as when you disconnect the orgianl air filter, the ne wone goes and the air flow meter disconnected???

so can somebody please advise me what to do with air flow meter, also will an universal filter be ok on this car??

please help
