5 years ago i had an opportunity to buy some vxr seats but passed up the chance and regretted it ever since.

There were only 65 sets made and a couple have been destroyed. So when these came up i was having them .

So £1000 later and my seats in part-ex lol they are mine.

Start of the clean

Just using a razor to clean up the bobbles

And done, in the garage ready for fitting tomorrow.

Ye, if i wanted one from vaux they are .. Wait for it... £4000 each!!

They arnt that much better than normal seats, just as comfy, but they have the harness holes in so safer for track use. And they look cool. Lol

front filled in .

stuck some wrap over it, the plan is to lacquer it until its smooth so you shouldnt be able to tell, or it shouldnt look too bad.

Last year i was at croft and was following a Radical, was doing impressively well considering he was a pro driver, on slicks but i missed my braking point by about 1/2 a seconds if that, at 130mph thats quite a distance.

anyway here is the video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6_GUo82jf0

This was recorded from my monitor, i have the propper footage somewhere which i will upload.

clam was a little bit of a mess as was the splitter, needed a new headlight and clam, luckily there was no damage to the suspension or anything else.

Drove home looking like this caught some looks.

old clam in garden

what was left of the light

new clam

putting the louvres back in

and done

clam went off to the spray shop this afternoon so should be back by the end of the week..

Not too bad then, you can have two crashes for every time you soil a seat then they look epic btw.
