does look loads better with the single grille thing that makes me laugh is VW made the single lamp grille an optional extra when they where built they all came with twin light grilles.strange but true.
Gave mine a full service today

I got my V5 today, so it's now all mine

There was a parcel too, but the postman didn't wait for me to get out of the shower, and the post office isn't open, so I've got to wait 'til Monday

You were right about the red trim being easy to swap on the grille Paul, I was amazed at how quick I did it

Old knob was a little shiny with 24 years and 115k under it's belt, so as my new one turned up today, I fitted it

mine is 25 and it's a 82 x plate yours is a 86 D plate is it not making it 21 years old.

Gear nob look good though,looks like you bought it off the same bloke as me
Mine had a golf ball with the gear shift pattern on the top but it was nackered.

It was built in '83 Paul

Mine came from some bloke in Germany, hochrad63 is his ebay username.

I wanted a decent golf ball with the shift pattern, but there's never any on ebay which aren't battered (as you probably know)
