Is there any major problems I will come across when converting?
Wanting to carry out the conversion in the next few months.
Also what tuning options are available for the 1.4 8v mpi if any?
Timing belt will be getting changed before the engine goes in, anything else that you would reccomend changing (apart from the abvious, oil, filters, leads, plugs)

I have the sri 1.4 8v engine was 82bhp when it first came out i persoanlly think for what they are they very good and quite powerful engine.
Alot of ppls against the 8vs on hear
You can get a full system and manifold.
I have a full sportex system with de cat and mainold 4-2-1 which i got for £260.
I spoke to people before had and asked them if they noticed a difference and they said there were power gains, some ppls on the site slated the sportex systems but other systems your looking at £250-£300 for manifold alone...I have yet to fit it
Tuning depends on how much money you have really.
There are some powerful 1.4 8v novas and corsas out there on the road and on the race track.
Its better to find a proper tuning company and they will tell you a list of things you can get.
Ppls on hear will just say get the 1.6 but i love my little 1.4 8v
good luck with what ever choise you choose
