I need a new engine in the car asap.....and havent really got alot of time....
Is there ALOT of difference between 1.4 8v SPI and the 1.4 8v MPI? I will be using a 1.2 8v gearbox with the SPI....and probably a NOVA GTE cam?

Im asking this because ive been offered the SPI for Really cheap

SPI is only 60bhp. the MPI is far better performance wise with 82bhp and a very gutsy feel

Got the engine ready to go in......looks ideantical to my old 1.2 8v.....any way of make it faster?

spi will be NO faster than the 1.2

100% on that

mpi will be alot faster

MPI feels very nippy and pulls in any gear not much difference between this and my old 1.4 16v engine tbh!

up to about 60-70 theyre very similar, 16v pulls better after

yup, drive up a hill, slowly but surely, and hammer it back down
