Following on from Topshot's Virgin Media thread, ive been tasked with providing an ISP for me and my 2 mates in our house for july. Ive picked TalkTalk cos it has no set up costs, and includes line rental and broadband for £21 a month. For TV we arent bothered about Sky and if we feel like it will get a freeview box for a tenner off ebay. Can anyone else recommend a supplier?

Ideally i want no setup costs cos I know what im doing anyway, we will be living in a cable area so both options open, already have a router and need a decent limit or unlimited and as cheap as possible lol

Cheers

what i mean is, my dad does a bit of p2p and when we used to have their 2mb service we would be using it all day but never at full throttle, so they turned us down a bit, thinking to a max of 1mb, so we didnt do anything for a month or so and tried again and they had kept it at 1mb. no service schedules or anything, just lopped our connection in half

BT are now supposed to be very good.

The top package costs about 27 quid I think but worth a look.

I wasn't including the line rental, sorry about that, probably will be at least 37 quid then.
I don't look at the line rental because I can't get cable and have to pay that whatever isp I go for.

this is the bugbear, the ludicrous £11 a month for line rental which we wont even use, we all have mobile contracts with minutes. How much does a cable line cost to activate or per month? Ill hve a looksee at UKOnline

Nildram, Coming from someone who works in the industry they currently rate highly, good price , good service, good custoerm services, good support portal + online accounting and stats.

I would recommend them to anyone, have loads on here.
