We're still deciding at the moment. We had ordered all the bathroom stuff, but then decided to change the layout so that we have an en suite as well....
so instead of just having a shower in the bathroom, we are now having a bath, so that we have a bath and a shower

rectangular shaped bath and basin, white units, slate effect floor and counter top

kitchen - I think we have decided to go for black....
It's a big room so won't be too dark, and I'm not too keen on all the beech/wood effect ones.
so gloss black with wood worktop....
and this is my cooker in black

thats just the first coat of clear gloss varnish to seal them.

Will prob finish them in satin i think :S nae sure yet. Will prob tint the varnish a touch too, or get a coloured one.... i think they are a touch orangey just now. I suppose they are still wet though.

Tbh this is amazing, when I saw the house you bought I knew it had potential but in that state i was like ohhh dear. Regardless, you seemed to have worked bloody hard and bloody quick at turning it around and my god its made a difference! Looks amazing now, can't wait to see the rest take shape.... Only thing I don't like is the Kitchen, when I get my house it's got to be the main feature but each to their own - may just be bad pics

We haven't even started on the kitchen yet

At the moment its in a wee room off the back lounge. Those two rooms are being turned into the master bedroom and en suite. The kitchen is being moved into the current master bedroom....which is about 4 x 4.2m so will be pretty big, with room for a big dining table and a door out to the garden, and eventually a conservatory

I know you haven't started the Kitchen it just looked rather cramped in the pics, but as I said may be bad pics or angle .etc

If you're moving it to a bigger room that's going to be amazing, can't wait to see pics... I thought it was staying in that smaller room, just looked so out of place when everything else is so big and grand

Fee - the architect has just been.

We do need building warrants for the changes to from bedroom to kitchen and kitchen to bathroom. He'll make up a quote for that and get back to us. (he'll need to get details on kitchen space, sockets, wastes etc.
He's got the measurements and drawings for making the elivations for the window planning. He said he should get them made within the week.

been pottering about with the hearth today.

refitted the skirtings round the fire place too.

Floors 2nd coated. That'll do for now till the room is near finished. It's sealed. Still need to decide on final finish and any tints.

pics of the fireplace

I can't wait til the front two rooms are done....I want to sit in a nice room and sleep in a nice room!

We've decided to set a target to have the front two rooms, the hall and the front door done by the end of next week, which will be a month since we moved in.

for the kitchen have you thought about having dark granite surfaces, they look very very good and withstand everything and very easy to keep clean

this is what we had made, but if you wanted to keep it darker, that with a darker top would look very good
