yeh it would be like trying to drive up a hill in a low gear.tomorrow go out to it and when its warm and your on a save bit of road put it in 3rd and rev it up and try to pull away with the handbrake up.if it just revs then the clutch has gone if it dies its ok

Ignore what I said last.

Could be the clutch slipping, and the engine braking itself, hence the power loss?

still smoking when i stop, the smoke is coming from where the exhaust manifold is. i hve been told it smells nothin like a clutch. its only when the car is stationary that it smokes, looks as tho there is a bit of oil around the area, also exhaust seems to be blowing a bit???? help

bump smoking was because of oil cap being loose, they gave me a new one and now oil leaking on manifold so that is ok, but still seem to have bit of power loss
