He's kinda right, its not a guess, more of an educated guess.

The drag is measured on coast down, and this along with the power at wheels is used to calculate power at fly.

My drag was 37bhp on these rollers, and 45bhp on stars. Both are around 20-25%.

No set figure. Varies from car to car.

Can vary due to a number of things, some of which include gear box oil temp, tyre temp, tyre pressure, etc...

AFAIK you can only get a true flywheel figure by putting the engine on a dyno....rolling road simply calculates it based on a number of different figures.....

Corsa XE at falkland = ~23% transmission loss
Vectra V6 at dastek = ~29% transmission loss
Corsa 1.6 at star = ~25% transmission loss

The XE has the lowest transmission loss, but obviously it differs from car to car. If there was something up with the 'box it'd be more than that, surely?

I agree, transmission loss looks fine to me. as said by james, arouns 23% which is average. You can expect to see as much as 40% for a 4WD and somewhere between that for RWD.
i Would seriously consider remving the ecocrap valve and seeing what that does to fuelling.

Mine only ran 152bhp, but with 207Nm... but was advised it was overfuelling top-end. Still need to get it done now it's been rebuilt etc...

obviosly some healthier/stronger engine might pull that 8bhp ur after mav, dont just take that figure as ur power tho, u have to consider ambient temperature and everything, this vary throughout the day ........ u get me

there is no set amount for transmission loss.

again depends on car and the rollers

I've had the same fly result on 2 rollers but the power at wheels where different

If it isn't broken, don't fix it.
