All kurb marks sanded out and all in primer

Need to know decided what colour to go. I am stuck between a fairly dark met silver and black. May do one of each and see which I like best

Get some pictures of the wheels up in both colours when you've done one, think the grey would look best imo

Right did one of each. I think I am swaying towards black as I am struggling to get a finish that is as good with the smoke grey as I got with the back.

Here is a pic of each:

Black

Smoke grey

Went down the scrappy today in search of a 1.2 8v victim corsa. As following advice from scott (blue_bullet) that their intake pipe from the airbox fits between the airbox and aftermarket inlet manifolds on the small block 16v engines.

And after carefully making a hole for the air temp sensor I was away. So good shout there mate

Cleaned up the bay as well in preperation for PVS. Just leaves me the manifold heat shield the paint up but I havent got the time to do that atm.

Wheels finished just need to get hold of some centre cap badges now.

Decided using rubbing compound on the laquer to get a nice shine takes fecking ages. Going to give them a nice coat of wax to protect them too once the tyres are fitted

Going to go for some 195/45/15 tyres. Thinking toyo proxies atm any others to consider while im at it?

Looks good Gav. Try Goodyear Eagle F1's, a little more expensive but good all round grip and will last longer than the Proxies too.

Only thing is are they any good in the wet as the tread pattern on them makes them look like they could be more of a dry weather tyre. Worth the extra £50 over the toyos you reckon?

I've never had a problem with them in the wet, and I have tried them and Uniroyal Rainsports and am much more impressed with the F1's.

I'd definitely buy them again, but I haven't tried Proxies, so may not be the best person to comment.
