Well after having the trusty 1.2 for a couple of years to build up some no claims I felt that it was time to move on

I test drove a range of cars but I liked the feel of corsas the most and have always wanted a gsi. So after spending ages looking a low milage fairly tidy one came up locally for a good price

The day I picked it up:

Clean interior

Full vauxhall service history from new, even with the origional reciept from when the owner brought it and part exchanged a nova SR

then thats how it stayed and I went out and enjoyed it..................

Then with this week off work some progress was made

My V5 arrived so I went to the local motor factors and got some plates made up to tidy up the front and rear of the car. I also fitted the magnex exhaust that was courtesy of willay

Then used the magic of T cut colour fast to remove all of the minor scratches and bring the colour back

ignore the dodgy reflections

Hopefully it will be having the bonnet and front bumper resprayed next week so i will update then

spent fecking ages copy and pasting all of the bb codes in, then found my computer didnt update and all the links were the same

may invest in some ebaich springs to lower it a little to make it sit a bit nicer too

considering coilovers as well. As they are nice a flexible so i can get the drop i want. And change it if i ever go with the speedline idea or anything in the future.

I just dont want to ruin the ride too much as its nice and comfy

the found a gsi just like this before i brought my sport...smoke grey and in mint with only 70ish on the clock...emailed the guy as it was only up for £900...he told me it had been sold to someone on ebay...checked ebay was up for £1900...wish id have got it...as silly as it sounds gavin i'dkeep the gsi 100% completely standard and tidy! if it was me will be abit of a classic im sure!! looks mint allways loved the design inside with the red pulse haha!

it is staying standard minus the exhaust and possbly slight lowering, both of which can be put back easily if i ever wanted

Update: its booked into the body shop for a months time. Getthing bonnet bumpers, arches and side skirt and the boot resprayed for £500 should look super doper then

booked into the bodyshop for the 14th of april
Just need to decide what i want done, options are:
>£500 get all the bits that need doing done. This is all the plastics bonnet and boot to remove the rust.
>£700 all of the above plus one side of the car (has a few marks where people have opened doors)
>£1000 full repspray

I would like it perfect but its my daily car and always left in the work car park etc so i dont know if its worth it for when the next dick opens a door into it

he would blend it in and the bumpers bonnet and boot were been done anyway

1k is for an exterior respray, no door shuts etc

Due to it been an every day car im going to go for the £500 option, it can always go back in the future
