I do about 100 miles a month at the moment, if I was to get FK coilovers, keep them greased and check them every so often, would they be ok?
Or should Dave A sell me some GAZ ones really cheap?

FFS. Yeh they'll be fine. 
Hell you could probably not keep them greased and they wouldn't rot. I've done 20k on mine now.

GAZ are excellent, just fitted some coilovers on the car and the difference with the spax is AMAZING.
would seriously recommend these.

iv had my fk's for two years now, never greased them the car sits a bit solid to say the least
does anyone remember my accident with a kerb  i bent the ball joint 90 degrease and bent the front wheel so much it was about 4 inches out in one place, well took the fk's of thinking they would be pickled and nope they held up ?
