Right, hit the reset button on my router & reinstalled the internet with the X box plugged in and my settings are still on strict, the only thing i have not done again is the port forwarding?
also i dont think i have any firewalls in place? not sure if thats whats causing the problem?
whats my next step? get a new router?

best bet is Buy a router mate.
save you a lot of hassle in the long run

is there one specific one that anyone would reccemend or better is there one that is reccomended by microsoft for the x box 360?

I might be online tonight playing Rainbow.
I'm loving Tiger Woods 07, it's a pretty big game too. I think there are about 17 playing modes and 15 or so courses. It's £29.99 in GAME, offer of the week.

adsl then, best bet is for something like this:

or similar, it has built in modem/router so you can just plug your PC/xbox etc into it
