I was trying to figure out where a noise has been coming from in the engine as i go up the rev range had no joy with that but i found this random hose/pipe/tube not going anywhere, it goes behind the engine and runs along the bulkhead to the drivers side. does anyone have any ideas

Thanks in advance

i would say it goes to drivers side and into brake servo
the cannister thing is something to do with fuel tank venterlation.
could be wrong

I know what that piece of crap is i meant the hose hanging out in the middle of no where
Couldnt trace it to a source as its too tight in there
Hasn't been running dodgy from what i can tell, just been making strange noises that sound like a chirpy tap around the inlet manifold which increases speed with revs, and the eml comes on for 10 secs every now and again.

sorry buddy did'nt see full pic
just below the pipe near your servo pipe there is a multiplug which connects to a small black unit, i,m sure i recall seeing pipes going to that.
if not you might have to take top half of inlet of to see

looks like the one from the charcoal canister.
if its hard black plastic it will be that one. it goes to the vent valve that is attatched on the passanger side of the inlet manifold.

Dude, there's a little black box where a red plug goes into. It should be coming off there.
