mate has got a 1400 N reg sport and wants a 1600 gsi engine. will the 1600 go straight in on the original mounts and does anything else need to be changed? are hoses ect the same?

if you get the x16xe gsi engine its a straight swap for the 1.4 . if you get a c16xe ur gonna have to change the wiring loom. pretty sure engine mounts and other bits are the same

go for the X16XE(sport engine) not the C16XE(GSi Engine) as u will find it difficult to find a decent one. Plus u wont have to change the loom if u go for the X16XE, infact u dont even have to change the ECU, i ran my X16XE on a X14XE ECU for ages, with no problems
