Ive got loads of bits waiting to be fitted, but best bet for tuning a 1.2 8v is:

Nova SR or GSI cam
1.4 SPI injector
1.6 SPI inlet manifold
1.8 SPI Throttle body
Nova GSI exhaust manifold, decat.
Decent air filter

Not much else you can do without spending loads of cash, by that time you would be aswell converting it to MPI, and dropping a 1.6 in.

I was thinking about getting a sportex manifold, but apparently you can get near enough the same gains from the GSI manifold.

I got my GSI manifold for free aswell, so that adds to the argument

Nah, when I gave them a rinse after the sanding, i forgot to dry inside them, water ran out and ruined it. Also, paint got under the masking tape inside the mirror, so there bits of yellow primer and grey all over the inside.

Just going to buy factory painted mirrors

Well, thought I might update this.

Got done over by the guy I was buying a GSI spoiler off, hopefully ill get my money back, then I can source another one.

Got one side lowered, other strut is at the garage, but my mate there is on a course, so its been sitting for over a week waiting to be done. Hopefully he can do it tomorrow, and it will be back on all fours.

Discovered my "2L calipers" were infact tiny 1.2 things, went and got some proper 2L calipers though, just need to clean them up and stick them on the car, along with new disks and pads

Lowered side (Sits slightly lower now as its been settling for a while now)

Also fitted the passenger sport seat, just need rears and door cards now:

Difference between the calipers I had, and the right calipers

Touched up my bumper a wee bit, was covered in stone chips. Also painted the splitter black as whoever sprayed the bumper before left overspray all over it.

Lovely old seats, must make something with them

Shall update again once i get the other side lowered.

Update time:

Ripped off by corsa_madd for a GSI spoiler, now waiting on a refund.

Bought one off someone else, seems genuine, hopefully arriving soon.

New cross-member has been ordered, will be welded up soon.

New rear brakes ordered, to be fitted.

Front brakes still need to be done.

Car is now running 100% engine wise, just needs the exhaust welded and shes perfect in that sense.

Bought 5 litres of underseal too, so once the welding is done, its going up on the ramp, and the whole lot it getting undersealed.

So, still the same list of:

Welding
Brakes
Exhaust

Finnaly got hold of a 1.6 inlet, just need to wait for it to be delivered, then I can get on with the engine work.

All the bits I need should be here by the end of the week, need to buy some more gas for the welder too, then I can get the crossmember done, and move the car for the first time in months

GSI spoiler fitted, really happy with how its going:

Usually use masking tape to hold stuff on, but the new tape i got was shite, kept on tearing, so used sellotape instead

Well, before:

During:

To be fitted:

And finnaly, fitted, with loads of tape

Tigerseal is dry, so took off the tape and took a couple of more pics:

Hopefully getting my new crossmember welded in this week, then I can finally put the front bumper back on, its been off for months
