ford fiesta
sony 3 way speakers, new
autoleads door adaptors
poineer headunit - old
when turned up they cut out,<>or go over bump's i think. unplug the speaker "door multiplug" and plug back in and they come on again
also when fitting them the adaptor seemed to put a twist on the speaker which also caused them to cut out
so i fitted longer screws and floated the speaker on rubber gommits to eliminate any twist in the adaptor
worked for about a week and is still doing it
any ideas?

ppossibly something shorting them, i would rewire them up again. make sure they cant move about freely or wires arent touching eachother.

could well be the adaptor plug you got with the autoleads kit is dodgie. had a similar problem with mine, managed to limit it down to the autoleads plug being utter shit and the connections in it being naff. just take them out and soulder the speaker wire directly to the wire thats already in the car.
iirc the plain blue wire is +ve and the black/blue wire is -ve
