james what material is the cage made out of? looked on MPS website and there steel, alloy and s/s and i dunno which to get

Hmmm, did you fit the spongy stuff back in the front when you put the carpet in? im just curious because my car has been completely stripped inside except the spongy bit, its wet though and was wondering if i actualy need it or not before i fit the carpet. I dont want to rip it out and find out i need it lol

butler - hopeing to get it booked into the bodyshop soon to be sorted out. got a few more things that need doin to it also. ive got the cage, just need to pull my finger out and get on with fitting it, just i dont have much time to get it done atm.

robhayes - yeh it was balanced on the crank all together

pdwhelan - i havent fitted it. i ripped mine out as it was mouldy and stunk! the carpet is abit saggy but i dont really notice that its not there.

more parts and another bill of £200 arrived today.

1x head set
2x sets of headbolts
2x cambelt kits

i now have all the parts ready to change my head over in 2weeks time.

this head isnt goin on my new engine mate. this is goin on the engine im running atm as i want the cosscast for my new engine, so in 2weeks time in changing the top end on my current engine

new cylinder head is all rebuilt now ready to be fitted next week. also plan to get the rollcage in finally!!

this afternoon after getting home from lincoln, i started taking parts off my engine in the process of changing the cylinder head. i didnt get done much tonight due to having no room to work in the garage and it getting far too dark to see what i was doing.

heres 2days progress anyways -













put it back on its wheels to roll it back outside for the nite (garage is full of shite so no room for it in there). fitted my new spare now that i finally found a wheel that would fit over my v6 brakes



and back outside for the nite. hope it doesnt snow!!!

the head was decoked, and cleaned, valve stem seals were replaced. all valves removed and cleaned on a wire wheel then lapped into the head, and then all put back together. there isnt alot to the head really.
