well the project starts again then lol
removed the sump tonight to inspect for further damage to the engine. i think ive been very lucky! ive only taken 1x big end cap and 1x main journal cap off and they dont look too bad, even tho you can see that the shot has got down to the bottom end (thought the breather at the front of the engine i think), so the engine will need to be totally stripped down, cleaned and rebuilt just to be on the safe side. also new oil pump,cams and get the head fixed

here we go again, engine is now ready to be removed. was gona do it this evening but i 4got the engine lifting chain so gona have to wait for 2mo now

well today i got my engine out of the bay and partically stripped.
and then put it in the back of the 1.2 and took it to work, where it will stay untill ive rebuilt it

a small update, head and cams ar already with my mate who works for an engine reconditioners. hes polished the cams and the head to remove the scoring, replaced the bent valve and is skimming the head on monday. tonight im going to drop my block off with him also now that it is totally stripped as he is going to reface the block and rehone the cylinder bores. hes also sorting me out all the rebuild parts, so all ive got to do is collect it all from him and rebuild it! im really hoping that by the end of the month, the corsa will be back on the road!!

cheers for the comments ppl. helps me keep interested in the car. while the engine is out again, im taking the oppotunity to tidy up the engine bay some more and remove anythin that in there that isnt used. tonight i cut out what was left of the battery tray as it wasnt needed nemore and was just excess weight lol

also seeing cars in tv make me keep on at it, eg white xe on 45's in the latest issue with the caption on the engine photo saying "hot rod spec xe provides 210bhp"
cant wait to get this finished propperly and fully mapped
