the super chip will make it over fuel, but it will be mapped over again and the superchip will only be used for the raised limit.... if its not mapped to suit then it will be a waste of time!

dave, i agree, not many people have a decent flowed head, people pay way to much for some heads!

and how reliable will it be? 2.0 corsas are breaking down daily when there standard never mind when you have done stuff to them. with the exception to a few people that have built there engines properly.

your selling your xe cos it has broken down 3 times since you have bought it.

no....

start again- xe`s are relaible

its broke down 3 times update me on this 3rd time?

1st= snapped the gearbox mount,so the boy that did the conversion has came up with a method of making it stronger,as they can be prone for this,as a corsa only has two holes, where as an astra/calibra has 3.

2nd=is its current one, where the hydrualic tappets have went, not an uncommon fault in most cars

and how would my engine not be built properly? i ran it to and from my work for months, until the gearbox mount snapped, sorted it,then i kept running it to work, until i bot my van

i aint selling it because it keeps breakin down i ve bot a new car u fool, and its also an xe,so why if it keeps breaking down woold i buy another one

dont kno why you are gettin so wound up about it, i m only having a laugh an u r taking it far too serious- i say game on to u for spending so much on tunnin a 1.6 but i would rather have my XE

RANT OVER

I get 2 litre corsas brought to me all the time with problems, just look in help zone in here, theres hundreds of threads with promblem conversions, but as everything it depends on the quality of the conversion and the engine thats put in. I have done a few and never had problems but most I see are proper bodges. remember that most xe's are 15 years old now with high milage.

xe's arent unreliable if you go into the help forum and count all the posts. i am 99.9% sure that the c20xe has had more problems than any small block engine.

and for the money i have spent on my engine, wouldnt even see you a decent rebuild and conversion on a c20xe

firstly buy the engine 300-500
rebuild parts 200-500 (shit rebuild)
conversion kit £500-700
labour £500+

thats 2000 which is more than i have spent on my engine including labour & i have beaten the figures of a standard 2.0 corsa.

so basically what am saying is c20xe+ kevs corsa = shit and unreliable

yep c20xe's are getting on thats why I had mine pulled apart and rebuilt, however wont be to many years untill the same will be said of the x16xe,

As for reliability it depends how the conversion is done, Iv not had one problem related to the conversion since the engine went in 2 years ago.

nice power your making L30 SCT I would however ditch the unichip etc in favour of proper management. Interesting to see how it performs on the road?

ak lol his has been the naughtyist I know!!

there are loads of people with the reliable 2.0 conversions, the ones that have trouble are usualy the people that go out and buy a £300 engine box and loom without hearing it run!!

it was never the engines fault on adams car though it was due to bits getting done by one company then taken to another.
