Want to buy Jamie a good alarm system for his car, something like the mid range Clifford. Like the proximity and lift sensors on the Clifford and the fact it texts you if your car is in danger. Jamie's car will have pop doors too and I think the Clifford is OK with these but.... their just a tad expensive...lol
Any other type of alarm system I should look at that is comparable?
Thanks

Make sure it is Thatcham certified then ring his insurance company - may get a reduction in your premium. Will take a few years to reap the benefits though.

Yes, know about the Thatcham rating. What I don't know is the best alternative to a Clifford. All you see are adverts for Cliffords lol.
Can anybody give us a brand name I can research?

I've had a Toad ai606 on my two cars and never had any problems with them. They also seem to have quite a few extras you can add on could be worth a look?

Tod Ai606 without a doubt!
Get them on ebay and fit it yourself or get someone to fit it

Toad Ai606 with microwave motion sensor, just make sure you turn down the exterior sensor a tad since even the rain can set it off out of the box.

Does the same job in a hardtop vehicle. Stand near the car and it chirps thus adding protection against your doors being 'tweaked'
EDIT: Dual Zone Sensor here.

I used to work at Car Alarm company. and it doesnt work as well as ultrasonics. If it was the same then they wouldnt make different types.
Even on the ebay link you posted it says about convertable vehicles.
