hiya all

i got an sri 8v and the speedo cable had snapped which has made the eml lught come on

got a new cable and fitted it to clocks,fed it though the dash into the engine bay but how do you get the nut out the gearbox without hitting the gear selector

if anyone can help it would be great

Get an adjustable spanner on it to loosen it

then unscrew it by hand once its loose its easy enough

cant get to it matey,gear linkage gets in way.

its about a 22ml spanner so its too big to get into the gap aswell

it's hard to get the nut off and on, took me like 2 hours to do mine.

Easiest way is to take the battery out, there is a hole in the bottom of the battery tray which is big enough to get your hand and a spanner through - that's how I done it.

i got the old one off now,anti clockwise to come off but the new one will not go on.got to still try in a min
