when i put my key in turn the ignition on and press my immobliser the engine managment light comes on and stays?why is this?

its surposed to, when you turn the ignition on all the lights light up, some go off and the engine mangment, battery and oil lights stay on untill you start the car

take it a to a garge to read the code, what engine is it? any lack of power, misfire, hestiation?

its a x16xe but dont think it will be losing power just coz of the immobliser

its not the immboiser its the engine managment light, and immbilser, if it flashs it means theres an immbisiler fault. i bet its a egr valve code, to erase the code disconnect the battery for a hour, which will reset the learn values and codes, so if the eml comes back on after that there is a present fault

or there is a way to read the code yourself (most be a thread there somewhere) and i can tell you what the problem is (have vauxhalls tis on my pc )

go on that website, then information on the left side, techinal, then scroll down to reading ecu fault codes
