oh sorry, i didnt read your post properly 
Same thing happend to me last season  I was top scorer for ages and ages, then last few weeks, i was dropped, and hardly got much pitch time, and the other guy took his chances and got a few more than me in the end

We won 2-0, hit the bar with a header! They had their manager sent off, dirty 2 footed lunge, was sickening! Then from the sidelines he starts shouting 2 foot them all! 4pts from 2 games sitting 3rd, not too bad a start in the prem!!

WTF  Hate people like that, just ruins the fun on a sunday.
i was wiped out badly on sunday, ball came to my feet, control, turn, done him like a kipper, was through one - on - one, then i felt his leg completley swipe me from behind, i screemed, but not cos it hurt so much to scream like a little girl, but because it could have been a leg breaker and i was scared

I have a huge burn mark on my thigh where I was sliding. Was bleeding during the game and made me feel sick
Can hardly walk now and there's shoot loads of puss coming out of it

no way mate, can't look at it myself, makes me go funny.
What can i do to stop this from happening in the future? Perhaps wear some sort of protection under my shorts? Or lube myself up with vaseline so I just glide across the grass

I slide tackle all the time, only way to take certain players down and win the ball as I'm not the biggest of blokes

You cannot beat slide tackles.. take the ball then the man occasionally just to let him know you are there
0-3 down at half time - we win a penalty their captain calls the ref a cnut  and we win 6-4
first win of the season afte 2 defeats!

Not much you can do i think just have to wait til it starts raining! We've a number of people with burns and they start to heal then come the following week they are ripped open again and the circle continues! Or just shove em off the ball and claim your just too strong for him

slide tackling is part of my game though really mate. A lot of the defenders i got up against (especially the right backs for some reason) are as quick if not quicker than me. I knock it past them to get half a yard then slide to get my cross in.
Its a lot better today thought last night the bandage that my gf put on had literally fused itself to my leg and I had to pull it off in the shower. Hurt like fcuk
