How easy is it?

I have abit of experience with engines, although I've never took a head off. I've already removed the inlet and rocker cover..

Need's to come off tomorrow to check the damage, wondering if I could manage or should I leave it for the big boys?

X16XE BTW.. thanks

Oh, there is no compression in cylinder's 2,3 & 4, and only a little in no. 1.

The timing is spot on, so it hasent bounced any valves. So if anyone could shed some light is what the fook is going on id appeciate it

Wait until my step-dad gets home He was a machanic for 30years, so he can check around the head for damage.

Undo the tensioner, slip the belt off. Undo all the pipes and stuff then unbolt the head. It will probably need some persuasion to get it off though.

Then wait for your step dad mechanic to come home with his tools and leave him to do it.

Or go buy a set of female Torx bits. They cost about £20 a set for some decent ones though...

What you need to do is get a wrench on the center bolt for the lower pully and crank the engine round on that. Or not worr about it. I didn't do it to my engine when I took the head off because I fogot
