i got a corsa x14xe engine and it has lost loadsof power really hard to pull off and flat through the revs it does about 90mph flat out. i have taken it too a garage but he didnt seem very interested and just said it could be valves. is he just trtying to rip me off. also it misses loads after hard acceleration. plese help ive changed loads of sensors and its starting to cost

wont be bent valves unless they have hit the pistons.

have you had it on a tech2 computer or a rolling road?

i havent had it put on a tech 2 compuetr will this show up a problem if the em light isnt on?

it will give you the values each sensor is sending to the ecu

how about if it has slipped a thooth on the timing would this cause these problems.its also drinking petrol

bent valves? wudnt do that unless the belt snapped!

Sounds like an ignition issue to me. How old is it and mileage? Check plugs and dispac.

i meant that the timing being out can cause the sympytoms not bent the vavles lol if you had bent the valves you would know it would struggle to run at all
