scrappy = cant realy trust them

60 quid for 2 valves aint too much, could have been a lot worse, full reapairs gonna be less than 80, plus ill have a cleaner engine

expensive bit would b fitting and c if there's any damage 2 the pistons etc

yes a 2.0is coming soon, but i need my car for the next week or so as i have job interviews across the land and exams at uni 100 mile away

i know but imagine the attention when its litred!!
and when youve finished with the banger you get to blow it up full rev's drop gears loads a ways its fun!
i killed a mk2 fiesta in colledge tied it to a tree and spun the wheels till it blew up we also raced two or these round college ennded up skimming the trees near the woods blew side windows drivers door wing rear quarter hiz fault he rammed me class bit of fun for 30 quid

Mine snapped a few months back, I was doin about 25, and it bent 15 valves amongst quite a few other things, total bill came to £750!!!!

400 quid, bloody hell

belt was about 8 quid, new gaskets etcetc came to 20 odd, and im getting a new head for less than 50, hopefully

id have paid 400 to get it on the road but no point if its going in a month

Don t know why they don t just put chains on like on biggered engined cars such as audi a8 s much more reliable. Just think your engine relies solely on a rubber reinforced belt it. And designers don t think wait a minute this belts a bit flimsey lets use a chain instead.

chains would need more matinace on them over time, easier to u a belt and replace it

besides if ur cambelt snaps it ur own fault usually for not renewing it on time it was my fault neway

Yeah but you never know with these things they can just happen imagine if its defective or reacting badly with the atmosphere (rot or mould)

Depends if its a freewheeling engine or an interference engine.

8v vauxs also used to be pretty good in that they would break the followers but not damage the valves.
transit DIs are interference but i've never known one to bend valves yet!!
