can power steering be fitted to one without?
Also cost involved as i want car with power steering and if can be added opens a lot more avenues up

Ye is possible but i wud ave thought quite costly .. and quite a pain cos ud need pump / rack etc also pulley and v - belts

i believe you can use the Electric power steering, and also a saxo electric pump, but don't know how difficult or expensive it is to do ??

I find mine fine to be honest!
3 point turns can be done in 3 turns...I really don't have any probs with it

13" standard wheels, don't think alloys would change the handling that much though, maybe 17"s would.

EPS is the way forwards, get an Electronic Power Steering column from a B or a C and get the kit from Harry Hockley or figure out the wiring yourself - there is a link somewhere on here to the site. Much better than hydraulic.

i found fitting alloys made no difference to how heavy my steering was.
If thats the only reason your thinking of doing it I wouldnt bother

I have 17s on mine without powered stearing, its not very fun parking!
Got a saxo pump for free, just gota get a powered stearing rack cheap and make up some belts etc
