I was lookin at putting a 2.0xe engine in my corsa as i can get it for £25 but i saw beardy's car and saw it had a 2.5 v6 engine and was wondering is this the biggest engine that can fit in the engine bay of a corsa because my dad just bough a alfa romeo 3.0 v6 and i was wondering if that would fit in the corsa b???
thnks

Anything will fit with the right amount of time and money..within reason of course.

But having an engine that heavy in a Corsa is not a good idea.

So 2 litre for £25 or V6 for what - hundreds? 2 litre conversion is easier/cheaper also. Depends if you want a bargain fast car or a comparably fast, nicer sounding, expensive one.

Doesnt beardy's black corsa now have a 3.0 v6?

Not sure about an Alfa engine tho. IMO take the 2.0

Edit: Schoeys was 2.5 v6 not 3.0

Handling I could live with for the noise.

Alfa engine will be a huge undertaking, mounts/shafts in the wrong place, size and spline of shafts probably wrong, physically could be quite large, wiring different etc. etc. thats a big job indeed.

Thats the most sensible route, yes. And £25 is very cheap indeed. I would get that anyway even if you don't fit it, someone off here will have it.

My advice would be to take the xe, get it rebuilt if needed and get it fitted. You should think about insurence too before doing this
