fitted new rear bake shoes today, while i was fitting them i caught the rubber seal on the brake cylinder of one of the rear drums and lost a bit of brake fluid, i quickly stopped it then put everything back on and back together. when i fired the car up to go for a drive the brakes where shot, pedel went straight to the floor, did nothing. Am i right in thinking i need a new brake cylinder on that perticular side??

if your going to replace the rear wheel cylinder, as a rule you should replace them as a pair.

if u luk at the back of the cylinder ther is a little nut (nipple) 8mm ithink undo that a bit n get sum1 2 pump the brake until fluid squirts out not bubbles same on the front calipers if the need be. make sure ur fluid is topped up tho utherwise ul take in more air than wot u started off wiv
