is it possible to change a gearbox that has a electrical speedo sender in it to a mechanical one?

just swap the senders over?

i need a 100% YES answer i need to be sure

car is now sitting here engineless as we couldnt get new engine old gearbox to mate

so we have the gearbox rngine came with but it has electrical speedo, so i need to know before we bolt it all up

and we still dont know after all this work the non immob ecu will work with that loom . .. . ..
